the rules

"Rule of life." Sounds monastic. Sounds like a stringent set of tasks. Sounds like it doesn't have much to do with our lives. Oh, but it does .... This July, you're invited to a day-long retreat where we'll craft a rule of life for members of The Crossing's wide-ranging community: hopes and commitments we share about worshiping and praying together, living generously, intentionally, graciously and with Jesus at the center of our daily lives. More details coming, but for now MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Rule of Life Retreat, Saturday, July 19 (approx. 9-5), location: within an hour of the city. Good food. Beauty. Real life. Jesus. Yes.

What's going on @ The Crossing?
THIS THURS. / Volunteer Intro @ 5pm: Want to see what makes The Crossing tick ... and then help out? Come at 5pm as Ben Garren runs a brief training on setting up for Thursday worship. We could use extra hands this summer; this is a great way to get plugged in.

THIS THURS. / Worship @ 6pm: Christine Evans continues to unfold the liberation message of Matthew in her June reflections. Kieran Conroy digs into his own Celtic roots to share spiritual practices. Everybody, every age -- come on in! Subway: Park Street (red or green line) or Downtown Crossing (orange line). Driving: For $3, we validate parking at Boston Common Garage (Charles Street b/t the Common and Public Gardens.) More info:
www.thecrossingboston.org.

SUN., 6/29 @ 10am / The Crossing Meets The Cathedral: June 29 is Rev. Steph's last Sunday with The Cathedral congregation, and The Crossing community is invited to attend the 10am service, receive a blessing, and help to lead Cathedral folks in sharing communion Crossing-style. Bonus: Great food and dancing after worship! For info:
revsteph@gmail.com.

WANTED: FIELD ED STUDENTS: Know any students who need a field placement in September and have a real heart for building young leaders, mining spiritual depths, planting seeds for a revolution? Send 'em to Rev. Steph at
revsteph@gmail.com or 617.482.4826, x318.
